12 FREEDOM KIDS DEMAND FROM THEIR PARENTS-Take note of these concerns

When we were growing up some twenty and so years ago, we all want our parents to understand us and give some freedom to us to do things we love doing best as kids. Unfortunately our plea at the time was not heeded to because our parents want us safe and protected at all time without any injury that may result into serious fatalities.

However, abundance evidence is pointing contrary to that assertion. Kids are expected to be given some freedom at least now than ever.

Why is it necessary to give kids freedom? Read the 12 reasons why kids need freedom in the world.

  1. FREEDOM TO EXPLORE THE WORLD AROUND THEM

Kids are always on the move to explore one thing or the other. This inertia position kids to learn about the environment around them and learn new things they never thought existed.

Your kids need the freedom to discover the world around them. #Give them freedom to them.

  1. KIDS NEED FREEDOM TO EDUCATION

The UN chatter on the right to education under SDG 4 is non-negotiable.

Education levels the gap between the have and have not, the poor and the rich. Assist your child to get the best education by supporting him or her to acquire the relevant skill and knowledge not only for the job market but to guarantee him or her self-sufficient life in the future. # give them the right to quality education

  1. FREEDOM TO BE HAPPY

How? Your kids want you to allow them to pursue things that make them happy. Support your kids’ interest and they would always be happy. Find out what their interest are if you have not known about them yet. # Make your kids happy

  1. FREEDOM TO ENTERTAINMENT

Entertainment is part of the growth of the child. Once in a while take them to the park or visit kid’s festival in the child’s neighborhood (any gathering of entertainment organized for the kids)

Entertainment relaxes your child’s mind and makes him or her to become more creative. # give them freedom to entertainment

  1. FREEDM TO WATCH THEIR FAVORITE TV PROGRAMS

I know as parents we want the best for our children with regards to what is best for our kids to watch on the TV. However it’s not all TV programs that are bad for the kids,

There are many good educative programs you should allow your kids to watch. What about the discovery channels, national geography, animation (www.tv.com), best TV series for kids (m.ranker.com), techworld, etc.? There are thousands of programs, guide them to watch the educative ones

Your kids learn from these programs. Supervise them by giving them the amount of time they should spend on the TV. #entertainment is good for kids

6 FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT.

There are a lot of things your child want to discover on his or her own. Don’t hold them back by restricting them or choosing what you always consider to be best for them to do.

If you always choose things for them you would be holding them back and their full potentials can’t be developed for maximum societal benefit. # give your kids the freedom to choose what they want.

  1. FREEDOM FROM INSULT

Do you know your kids are growing and become sensitive about things around them? Your kids are sensitive to your insults.  Please stop the insults and correct them with love without becoming angry and insulting. Your insults can make them to coil back into their shelves without taking any initiative.

Why would they do that? Because they don’t want any more insult from you if they should make a mistakes. # Stop the insulting your kids

  1. FREEDDOM TO MOVE AND PLAY WITH OTHERS

Don’t be restrictive to prevent your child from playing with responsible kids in the neighborhood.

There are a lot of things they can learn from other neighbor’s kids. For instance they can learn about self-control, Self- confident, Successful habit needed to win a competition, self-esteem etc. All these are learned from other neighbor’s kids from different schools in the neighborhood. #Give them the freedom to play with other kids

  1. FREEDOM TO PRIVACY

We all pray for our kids to grow very fast and become responsible adults in our society so as to fit into responsible adult position. Yes, we all want to see that as adult in our life time.

This wish for our kids comes along by giving them the freedom to privacy (to be left alone without unnecessary interferences). This privacy issue for our kids remains a controversial issue among many parent across the globe.

There’s a debate going on as to what age we should give our kids the right to privacy. What’s important is monitor them indirectly without becoming an intruder in their private space. #your kids need their privacy.

  1. FREEDOM TO HAVE FULL CONTROL OVER THEIR CELL OR MOBILE PHONES

Don’t be too inquisitive as many parents are doing now. Your grown up keeps don’t want you to interfere with their phones. You probably bought the phone for them, but as soon as you hand over the right to ownership to your daughter or son,  stop check on messages and calls coming from the phone.

Respect their phone’s privacy use as they respect yours as their parent. If they need your guidance or any advice, they would get you informed accordingly.

  1. FREEDOM TO VISIT MORE NEW PLACES

Your kids want to learn about new places without any ‘too much restriction’ as to where to go and where not to go.

Don’t be too much concerned about the safety of your kids. Some parents are just hypnotized by irrational fear without any cause to do so. Why do you allow your own limiting believe stop your child from visiting other places you have not visited before.

Your kids will be safe and nothing will happen to them. Don’t make your child naïve about things around him or her. Rather, make your child assertive so that he or she can grow and take appropriate and necessary decision when it becomes necessary to do so. # Make your kid discover

  1. FREEDOM TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES

Do you know many parents don’t give opportunity for their kids to explain themselves? Do you quickly jump to conclusion over issues that affect them directly without giving them the opportunity to hear their side of the story?

Don’t gag your kids from speaking and telling you what affect them and how they feel about your reaction. When we hear their side of the issue we shall be in a good position to advice and counsel them appropriately. #give them the opportunity to explain themselves

The right to freedom of speech is a fundamental human right issue, which they must also enjoy.  Give them the opportunity for them to speak their heart out and if do they would be your best pal.

In this post, we have been able to identify 12 freedom that your kids need in order for them to grow and discover their full potential and be able to fit into adult society in the future.
